Back To School Night at Panguitch High School
I coached Ryan's soccer game from 5:30-6:30, then we rushed over to the high school for Jordyn's back to school night. Because I'm annoying like that, I made Jordyn pose for pictures with the teachers we caught up with. :)
Jordyn with Mrs. Perkins, her Geology Teacher
Mr. Reeder, her Science teacher
Mr. Houston (for all non-Panguitch folks who don't know, it's pronounced "House-ton"), her Language Arts teacher AND her Debate teacher. :)
Mr. Barney, a.k.a. "Coach", her Honors Math teacher
A fun picture of her handprint in front of the Middle School :)
HIGH SCHOOL, BABY! :)
Home of the Panguitch Bobcats
She's loving high school already! She got into Debate and is loving every second. Drama got cut, but thanks to a WONDERFUL lady, Cheryl Church, they are putting on one play this school year (all without pay). We LOVE her for it, and for giving our kids an opportunity to be part of a play again. Jordyn already got cast and they start play practices at 6:30 am tomorrow before school. :)

Brittany is loving 6th grade! Granted, the homework thing is a lot more "normal" for her this year, and she hates that. She's used to having it "easy" from 5th grade. ;) She's made friends with a new girl at school and they've been holding "club meetings" at recess. This picture was taken last week after school. They wanted to pick up trash around this old abandoned house. Hopefully people saw that they were CLEANING the yard, and decide not to call the cops on trespassing. Lol.
Brittany has blossomed this past year. Literally. Lol. She is growing into such a beautiful young woman. She's still her cRaZy self, but then she's also putting a lot of care into her dress, hair, and MAKEUP! She also wears high-heels to church, and she does look pretty amazing, if I do say so myself. ;)

Go-Cart Fun
We have had rain & thunder/lightening storms EVERY.SINGLE.DAY this past week, and it's getting old! On Saturday, it was actually gorgeous so we took the opportunity to take the go-cart out. We went to the church parking lot and let the kids ride. My friend Becky's cute kids came over and rode their bikes around with my kids, and we had fun!
After about an hour and a half, we saw some grey clouds. *sigh* We left JUST as the rain hit- and it hit HARD and FAST. At least we had fun!

Post-Trek Fireside
Sunday we had our post-trek fireside at 6pm. But before that, I had invited our trek kids out at 5:30 for a "sweet devotional" of "Brownie Earthquakes" (like those from Dairy Queen). Which basically meant that we stuffed them full of sugar, carbs, and calories. :)

Our "son" Spencer, dishing himself some ice cream, and Katelyn in the background.
Brenna and Chesney didn't make it, but we did have (L-R) Chris, Shaylee, Spencer, Katelyn, & Max :)
Another one with Ma & Pa
The fireside was great! 4 youth bore their testimonies, then we got to watch an awesome slideshow our friends put together of everyone's trek pictures (which we have copies of!). It was pretty fun. We were able to catch up with our other "daughters", so we snagged a couple more pics. :)
(L-R) Me, Brenna, Chesney, Spencer, Shaylee, Benji, Max, & Chris
Then I got one of Jordyn with HER Ma & Pa Lowe! They live in Antimony (dinky town), and are the sweetest people.
With her trek siblings (those that made it). I don't remember the girl's name, but the guy next to her is Brandon (from her school).
Lots of fun!
