"!!!!!" is the perfect exclaimation I can use for how insanely busy it's been around here lately!! I feel bad because I haven't even uploaded my pics off my camera, and haven't updated my blog to feature Brittany's birthday yet. :( Here's a quick update while I'm super busy, and hopefully this weekend I can post pics!
Happy 10th Birthday to my "Baby Girl"!!! It was a low-key birthday on May 19th when she turned 10. Birthday cake, ice cream, presents, and fun!
May 20th, Jordyn went to Lagoon with the 7th and 8th grades, and said she had a BLAST! They left at 6am and got back at 10pm. She has pics, which we can post later.
On Friday we went to St. George where we ran our errands, (including getting the LAST of our stuff out of our St. George storage unit!!) and then picked up the girls' BFFs and went to Jumpin' Jacks for 2 hours, then went to the park to play in the water feature for another hour or so. The wind was CRAZY!! Gusts of over 50mph made it extremely annoying and tiring. We then took the friends over to my parents house where they had a sleepover. The older girls tried pitching a tent and sleeping outside, but the wind soon uprooted the pegs and they were all but blown away! We brought them inside while the wind kept up it's fury all night long, cracking off a major tree branch and I'm sure created distruction around town.
Saturday we took the friends home and quickly got ready for one of my BFF's weddings! My friend Andrea got married to her new guy, Casey Wittwer. It was held at the Wittwer cabin in Pine Valley and was a small, intimate ceremony. It was so nice to see her again, and boy did she ever look AMAZING in her dress! I seriously forgot how much I truly missed her. I love that girl, and am so happy that she found someone who will make HER happy in return, and who loves her girls as much as Andrea does. Congrats to them both! It was also SO much fun seeing my other BFF, Arynne. They both look incredibly sexy and man does that make me want to get in SHAPE so I don't dissapoint, lol! We all agreed that we need to initiate a GNO once a year for the 3 of us- just so we don't lose touch over the years. :)
After the wedding and reception, we raced home to pick up the trailer and our dog and ended up visiting Benji's parents, sister, and nephews and niece for an hour or so. Kembree is getting to be such a cutie pie. Still TINY as ever, though- at almost 5 months she's as big as my kids were at like 1 month, lol! Her feet are so small, I've NEVER seen feet that small on a baby. It's like the rest of her is growing, except her tiny feet. LOL! The boys have gotten bigger, and it's amazing to see that it's happened in such a short time we've been gone.
We finally got home around 10pm or so Saturday night.
Monday, Jordyn went to Cedar to go bowling with her 7th grade, and had more fun!
Today, Tuesday, Jordyn has a "black light" dance, where the 7th grade wears all white, and the 8th grade wears all black... for some reason. So- she'll glow, but the 8th graders won't? Strange. Lol.
The kids have 3 more days of school until they're out for the summer. We ALL can't wait! Today is "Camp Read-a-lot", a fun day of outside activities. I will be going to help Koby's class, and try to take pics of the kids to add to their homemade yearbooks I'm making the kids since the elementary opted out of a yearbook this year.
The kids and I also have play practices the next 2 weeks, since the play is in 2 1/2 weeks from now, the 2nd week in June. I think we'll be performing for 4 nights. (Ack!) It starts at like 7, I think, and is a dinner theatre until 10pm! Dinner starts at 7, but I don't think the play starts until 8. This will be interesting to see how all my kids do, including me- I'm scared out of my mind! I DON'T want to be in it, but agreed so my kids could have the opportunity.
Oh, and last night our friend Tim stopped by. He's in the bishopric and slyly started by saying he wanted to help us with our trailer, but then quickly snuck in the question- that he has a calling for me! I got all scared and he said that they wanted to know if I'd like to be the Activity Days leader for the 10 & 11 yr olds. I actually got excited- I think this calling will be a lot of fun! He then told me it's either that or Primary President, and so I told him to put me down as Activity Days leader, LOL! He also told Benji to watch out, because the bishopric will be dissolving sometime in October, and that most everyone in town has had the chance to be bishop, lol, and that by the time they're 35, most men have been called. I mean, in 4-8 years, there's been a LOT of move-ins, so it's not like Benji's the ONLY guy "left", but he said he would't be surprised to one day hear that Benji's been called. Wow. So- I guess this means we have to be on our BEST behavior for the next 20+ years. LOL.
Other than that, Baseball, T-ball, scouts, YW, YM.... it's CRAZY!! I told Benji yesterday that I don't know how people do it- I'm not "made" to be on the go 24/7!! I need some valium. rofl!!! My house has been neglected and it's driving me BATTY! I can't STAND to be in a messy house- but until all our obligations are met, the house will have to wait.
So- yeah. There's my "quick" update. Hope everyone's well, and I can't wait to get caught up with all the news when things finally settle down. :)
