The Hills Are Alive....

with The Sound of Music!!
I felt a lot better on Friday, April 23rd, so I was able to finally go watch Jordyn in The Sound of Music!

The first scene, with "Max" (played by my friends Eric & Amber's son, Joe- who was AMAZING to watch, and who incidentally won State at the Drama competition!). The girl who played Elsa Schraeder is Riley Savage, the daughter of our friends in our ward, and she was the other incredible actor in the play. She was so animated and very fun to watch!
Jordyn's first appearance...as a nun (she's the far one on the right)
2nd appearance as on of the maids- she's the one dusting the props, lol
Jordyn's 3rd appearance as one of the "party guests"
Intermission
Brittany with her friends Meadow (left) and Indiana.
Starting the 2nd half of the play
I know the movie/play is all about the Nazi occupation, but I still felt uneasy when the boys came out with the swastica sybol on their sleeves, and each time they "hailed" Hitler. **shudder**
Afterward, when everyone came out on stage.
I absolutely LOVED the play. Incredible acting, considering our limited number of youth, and I think they did a great job with everything. :) Jordyn is now finished and has been able to catch up on her sleep over the weekend, lol!
*~*
As for me, the weekend was busy with a lot more deep-cleaning, reorganizing, rearranging, moving a lot of "grandpa and grandma's" stuff out of the house and hopefully replacing it with our OWN stuff!!! It's SUCH a nice feeling being able to once again use our own things, I can't even tell you how nice it is. It just feels like I finally have some "normalcy" after living with and using other people's things for so long. Thank you, Benji, for finally caving. :)

Benji is finishing up some last-minute grouting today, and then heading to St.George for another week. We don't know yet if he'll be there one or two weeks, but at least we'll see him again on the weekend.
