Spring Break

Yesterday marked the beginning of the kids' Spring Break. The kids loved sleeping in, as did I, lol. Jordyn went on a jog with me in the morning, and afterward went to her play practice for a couple of hours, and then came home and we worked on the last fleece blanket we're doing for Project Linus AND Jordyn's 10-hour service project for Personal Progress. I finished up the boys' Yoshi hats, and decided to wait for another day to work on the loot bags. In the afternoon, Benji came home from a long day at work and went outside to work on his Ranger. I stayed inside since it was insanely windy and cold, and worked with Koby, Brittany, and Jordyn in their "Faith in God" booklets, Koby's Scout booklet, and Jordyn's Personal Progress booklet. We signed off a few things and made a list of things they could work on over the weekend. Jordyn & I also went to the store to pick up some groceries and food for our Easter Dinner. After the kids were in bed, Benji and I went on another walk down to our service station 1/2 mile away to rent a movie. We ended up watching "The Time Traveler's Wife", which was a cry-baby movie. Lol. Yesterday was a productive day!

Today we woke up to SNOW, and the weather says it will be snowing all day long. This is going to make for an interesting Easter Egg Hunt at the park at 10 am this morning, and a scary situation when we have to meet Jordyn's friend Chauney at the Bear Valley turnoff at 4pm. Hopefully by that time the plows would have been out salting the mountain pass, but it looks like it's going to be a very slow commute. Just crossing our fingers we don't slide and run off the road.

Other than that, just another nice, relaxing day off from school!

Oh, and Happy April Fool's Day! I'm boring and never know what to do, so it's just another day for us. ;)
