On the 1st Day of Christmas...

Last night as I was slaving away in the kitchen baking all sorts of goodies for our neighbor goodie plates, we got a knock at the door: I don't know how the person had time to run and hide, because we answered the door pretty quickly! On the porch was this: It says, "On the 1st day of Christmas my Secret Santa gave to me 1 loaf of bread".
We were so excited! Then, about 5 minutes later, another knock at the door, and this was waiting for us: It says, "On the First Day of Christmas We "Mint" to stop by / to wish you a Holiday "Hi" / but we were too shy / Merry Christmas, Your Secret Friends". Fun, FUN!
Earlier this month, Brittany brought home a couple of "awards" she received. The orange Shasta is her award for a flawless time in double-dutch in P.E. The pack of gum was her award for a perfect math score all month! Way to go, Brittany!!
Ah...the infamous "forest". Lol! This is what our house looks like as you drive by. We have gotten so many compliments on it! Benji has added another tree, but I'll have to post a picture of it tomorrow.
Our first batch of neighbor goodies: I ended up making banana bread, fudge, peanut butter kiss cookies, and mexican wedding cakes. What was I thinking? I always take on projects that are too big for me! I love these each individually, but now that I'm tasting them the 2nd day, I wish I would've made a wider variety of treat flavors. hmmm. Maybe next year.
And finally... Jingles has found a new haunt! Ever since we put the tree skirt on, he has stalked his way to his new spot where it's nice and warm. :)

Today I went to Brittany's 5th grade class and read the Christmas Story, "The Last Straw", and then Brittany handed out the chocolate marshmallow santas we brought. For the rest of the morning I will be cleaning house. The poor house REALLY needs it! Then after school we have another Primary Practice for the ward christmas program.
Hope you are having as much fun with the busy holiday festivities as we are!

wow-you're getting 2 "twelve days of Christmas"? Lucky duck. :) Sounds like you're keeping very busy. I like baking, too, but it can take up so much time! I think I'm going to try doing some cinnamon bun popcorn this time - it looks so easy and quick to make.
