My paternal grandparents, Kay & Emma Mitchell celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on January 14th, 2010. The family held a celebration on Friday at my Uncle Russell's house.
Here are my kiddies with their great-grandparents!

Middle Row: Kelly, Mark, Anna, Brittany, Jordyn
Couch: (forget her name!), Joe, Kate, Koby, Grandma, Ike, Grandpa, Ryan, John

Jordyn & I (I LOVED visiting with everyone, but you can tell how tired I was already!)
Entertainment! Anna played us a beautiful song. She's not too much older than Koby. Man I need to get that kid learning something!
Then Joe got up and played a song
Then my dad played his guitar and sang a song he made up called, "Spring Garden Pie", a funny tune about when he and his siblings were growing up, mom would make them "pie" out of the week's leftovers. Lol! It's a really cute song, and I wish I would've recorded him playing/singing it.
Grandpa & Grandma
This is my cousin Lacey's little girl, Emma- who looks JUST like Lacey did as a baby. So cute!
My cousin John & Jordyn. Can you believe they're only 6 years apart?
The "Mitchell" boys have always been close to the kids, especially Jordyn, and Jordyn has had so much fun playing with them each time we get together. Ben is on his mission, so guess who gets Jordyn all to himself? John! :)
Lol!

Me & John. Man, my face looks pudgy. THIS is why I am losing weight!
John, me, & Andrew being silly
Andrew with his Aunt Patti
Coden & Ashlee
Poor Koby had been sick for 2 days, and so he was pretty tired at the party. I'm just glad he didn't yack that night, lol!

After the party, Benji came and picked us up. We took the kids to his parents' house, ended up keeping Koby with us since he was burning up, and went to go rent a hotel room. It was SUPPOSED to be for a "date" night, but the night turned out to be horrible. Koby kept a high fever, cough, and kept making sad noises during the night, the bed was hard as a rock, Benji started feeling pretty sick, and I couldn't get to sleep. Oh, well. We left bright and early at 6:30am the next morning. I picked up the kids and left St. George by 8:30 so Jordyn could make it to the church by 11am to babysit for a funeral, and Benji drove Grandma Veater home and made it home a couple hours later. Then he got REALLY sick and was in bed all weekend long with a very high fever, sore throat, headache, stuffy head, stuffy nose, and cough. I didn't have to teach on Sunday, but I took the girls with me to sacrament just in case they were going to sustain me that day. They didn't. So afterward, we went home to take care of Benji and Koby. Today Benji was able to go back to St.George to work on a "Parade of Homes" home at Entrada, while I sit here and blog during Martin Luther King, Jr. day. :)
