Presents!

It's an old "3-4" for me this year. Meh. Don't like getting older. Oh, well! I got up this morning and since it's been a whole week since I started my weight loss journey, I stepped on the scale to weigh myself. I already lost 2 pounds!!! I am so excited. My trainer said to estimate about a pound a week, so doubling that makes me all the more determined to stick to this regime. :) Other than that it was a normal morning- shoveling 2 inches of snow, warming up the car, getting the kids to school in JUST the nick of time, that sort of thing. Ryan is sick today so he's at home, so I turn on some cartoons for him (rules are that if you're too sick to go to school, there will be NO Wii or DS) and ate breakfast. Then I remembered! I've got presents! Lol. These are from my sister, Heather:
A "Love Notes" book (that I believe she decorated?)!
SO dang adorable, and what a wonderful idea! The general idea is to write your spouse a "love note" in this book and leave it on their pillow for them to find/read. Then the *idea* is for them to write one for you. :) The idea of the Love Notes being kept in a "journal" type book is awesome, because then you won't lose them and it can turn out to be a wonderful item for posterity. :) Let's see if we can fill it up in the next few years, huh? :)
This book is categorized in my mind as beautiful and crafty, so I tried to get different angles to do it justice... but between the lighting in my bedroom and my inexperience as a photographer... this is what you get. Lol. Hopefully you'll be able to see the details and get an idea just how cute this is. :)
She also included some gorgeous scrapbook sheets of paper and some spiral clips. :) Which, Heather, is SOOOO sweet of you- I am DESPERATELY LACKING in the scrapbook items department!! Especially the dang cute stuff you can buy these days. Thank you!
(insert Homer Simpson "doh!").... I forgot to get a picture of the cute sweater hoodie she sent me as well- it fits me tight, but in a "cute" way, and makes me LOOK skinnier than I am. Lol. I'll let Jordyn borrow it, but for now... it's mine. :)
THANK YOU, HEATHER!!! XOXOXO
I also received a beautiful birthday card from my Grandpa Biggs. He's so sweet to always remember our birthdays!
Other than that... just a normal day today. I didn't bake myself a cake, somehow it just seemed too silly. Lol. The kids don't even remember what today is, which is totally okay. I think I'll bake them some cookies to "celebrate" once they catch on, lol. Today is NOT my "cheat" day... I've reserved Friday for that since I'll be in St.George getting my hair done, so I can't hork down sweets today anyway, but one or two cookies won't hurt. ;)

Hey. I'm so glad you like the book! I did make it. I actually made one for me and Wendell last year for Valentine's day. My friend gave me the idea to write notes in it on special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, etc. So Wendell has a few notes in there. I'll be honest, though. There aren't any for me yet. LOL. sigh. I say make that cake! I made cupcakes for my birthday last year. We were leaving for an overnighter and my niece was staying with the kids, so I wanted to let them experience something birthday-ish and left them with some cupcakes. I think our birthdays are more fun for the kids than for us anymore. :) Have a wonderful day!!!

Lol! Cupcakes sound better than a normal "birthday cake"...maybe I will! :) I know my kids LOVE celebrating birthdays, no matter whose it is. They'd probably feel bad (for me) if we didn't. Great idea. :)
