Birthday Party!

I forgot to post another gift Heather gave me- some Coconut Lime Verbena lotion from Bath & Body! Woohoo!!! It smells heavenly, and now I will, too. ;) Thanks, Heather!
Knowing the kids would love to celebrate, I went ahead and made a cake. We had a wonderful dinner of Hawaiian Haystacks, and while we were eating, my visiting teachers came to bring me this: a gift card to Cafe Rio! Woot!
After dinner we did our traditional birthday program. Here's my cake...
(You'll have to excuse my less-than-groomed look. I was cleaning and exercising all day, and didn't get a chance to wash up. Sorry! Lol)
leftover candles came in handy!
Make a wish, mom!
More presents! Jordyn had actually forgotten it was my birthday until one of her friends mentioned it, lol! So she stayed after school and made me a gift. Here's a fun birthday card her teacher gave her to give to me... The envelope says: Happy Birthday to the greatest mom in the universe! I love you! Awww! How cute is THAT?
She made me a personalized journal. :) And I LOVE Hawaiian-ish decor/ clipart, so this is just adorable!
She also put a poem on the back which says:
A Wonderful Mother
God made a wonderful mother,
A mother who never grows old,
He made her smile of the sunshine,
And He molded her heart of pure gold,
In her eyes He placed bright shining stars,
In her cheeks, fair roses you see,
God made that wonderful mother,
And He gave that dear mother to me.
Of course I about choked up at that last line... ;)
Silly Billy Kids
You can see why I caved and had a piece!
Jordyn also took some pictures of the sweet surprise boquet I received from Benji just an hour before! I hardly E*V*E*R get flowers, and so it was a total surprise!! :) :)
Then before the kids went to bed, I was able to get a few pics of us together. We had so much fun. They made my birthday wonderful! :)
