Hippie Day!

It's Red Ribbon Week here in Panguitch. The kids get to dress up each day if they choose to. For Jordyn's school, it was "Hippie Day" yesterday. Most of my "hippie" stuff is packed away, but we were able to get a pair of my pants which drown Jordyn, lol, and she already had a darling orange hippie-ish shirt. She wore my moccasins, 'bug-eye' sunglasses, a headband, a brown shell necklace, and a bit of patchouli oil. Her friend Kylee looked awesome, too!
With their friend, Kelby
In other news: Jordyn came home and told me that she's on the Honor Roll list on the wall at school! She's pretty proud of herself, as am I! She's doing wonderful despite how...different...some of the teachers do things. This is always a HUGE deal for us, since I've NEVER EVER EVER made it on any "honor roll"... FAR from it! So being able to see my own kids work hard and get good grades makes me the happiest mom on earth. :)

Today for the Elementary School, it's "dress up as what you want to be when you grow up" day. Koby wants to be "Yoshi" when he grows up, lol, and we don't have a Yoshi costume, so he opted not to dress up. Ryan doesn't know the difference, and Brittany forgot to dress up like a rockstar. I was busy making waffles, bacon, and eggs, then braiding Brittany's hair, so I didn't think about it either. :p It's "SuperHero" day for Jordyn, so we just tied our red tablecloth around her neck. Lol.

As for me, I'm jumping back ON this "diet" wagon again. It's so freaking hard- harder than I thought. I LOOOOVE to eat. I have a serious love affair with food, so when I have to limit my calories, my body fights back, and sometimes, so does my willpower. But I did get my exercise in for the day, so.... I just hope I can keep going this time. I want to be skinny again by our 14th anniversary. :)

Happy Wednesday, Everyone!

Hippie Day? How fun!!! Oh, and good luck with the diet thing. I keep saying I am starting and then things get crazy and I don't. I really need to though! Maybe you can inspire me :)
