Baby Deer, Baby Dear

There is an upside to living in Panguitch. Deer! Last week Jordyn told us there were two small deer walking around in our backyard. I grabbed the camera and took these pics from our upstairs window:

The one deer just sat down and didn't move the whole time. The other one was restless and kept eating the grass, the bushes, scratching his ear, etc.
After a while, Jordyn wanted to sneak outside to snap a few pics... they've got excellent hearing, and heard the snow crunch under Jordyn's feet... and ran! This is at the end of our backyard where there's a hole in the fence, apparently also where the deer were able to get in. The only reason I was able to get a couple of pictures is that the neighbors who live RIGHT on the other side of that fence came home RIGHT at that moment, so the deer didn't know what to do!
After they left, Jordyn cut up a bunch of old apples and sprinkled them and some oatmeal out on our lawn, in hopes some deer would return. They haven't yet...
~*~KEMBREE ~*~
Last Friday before we headed over to my grandparents' anniversary party, I stopped to see my new niece, Kembree. She's so cute, and so little! She has gained one pound in 2 weeks, so she is now 8lbs 3oz, and is still smaller than Jordyn was when she was born. I took the girls with me, but Koby stayed with Dad since he was so sick, and Ryan just because he was being rambunctious. Brittany and her new cousin!
Jordyn is always so maternal. I love this pic.
Yep. She already can't stand me! Lol.
It's nice to know that not ALL my mothering skills have disappeared....she calmed down once we changed positions.
Love the bright-eyed baby looks!
The kids were excited to see eachother
Jordyn misses Chris. A LOT. It was nice to hear him say that he wishes we were still next door, as well. ;)
So dang cute.
I got some cute pics of Kembree gazing into her great-grandma's face.
See? She was smitten with Grandma. She must have been curious about the woman whose name she now shares. :)
BCF!

Holy cow! I've missed a ton of your posts! Thanks for posting those pix of Grandma and Grandpa's anniversary party. I'm jealous you got to see all of those cousins. I wish we could have come down for it. I thought the pictures turned out cute. :)
