Blue & Gold Banquet

Our Scout Troop's Blue & Gold Banquet was held last night, celebrating 100 years of scouting. To say Koby was excited is an understatement. He was absolutely raving about it all through the week, during school yesterday, and every minute up to the time we left. Lol.
Benji and Koby talking to Brother Tim Smith (left, one of the bishop's counselors), and ... uh.. some other guy. Lol.
Like I said. Totally happy and excited!
Benji pointing to his dad, who is part of the Panguitch Eagle's Nest
He's the handsome guy in the middle. ;) Incidentally, the guy on the left, Frank Houston, is Jordyn's Science teacher, and the guy on the right, JB Crofts, owns the storage units we rent from.
Cute centerpieces
A fun game geared to teach the kids how to "lead" others

Brother Mullenaux, our ward Scout Master... presided over the program.
He told Koby to come up front for an "initiation" of sorts
Never heard of anyone having to do this, but... lol! Benji had to hold Koby upside down while I pinned his first "Bobcat" Scout pin right side up onto his shirt. Koby is supposed to keep it upside down until he does a good deed for someone, then he can turn it right-side up again.
Don't mind my thunder thighs. ;)
Then Koby received his "Wolf" scout booklet
It was all totally fun for Koby. After we ate sloppy joes and had cake, they presented some other boys a whole ton of pins and patches (I guess sort of a catch-up), we played a couple of games, sang a song, got Koby's rocket he will need to work on soon, and then that was it!

Here's his pin, upside-down
I forgot to have our friends get a picture of the 3 of us at the program, so Jordyn took one when we got home

that is so cute! And you look great in that green shirt, by the way. Sorry I'm not on as much. once in awhile, your blog won't let me in - even though I'm signed in and everything. I think it's my computer, because it did the same thing with another private blog I go to. lol.
