I had my first Stake Camp Director's meeting yesterday afternoon. It was at 4:30 in Circleville, about 1/2 hour away, and Jordyn had a fireside in Circleville at 6pm, so I just took her along with me. There are about 3 other assistant camp directors from our ward (which I didn't know about) so that's nice- I'm not alone! We decided on a "Dr.Seuss" theme, so that will be pretty easy to find stuff to work, because most of his books have a "spiritual/deeper" meaning to them anyway. Add the crazy socks, hats, and star-bellied sneetches, and I think it will be a fun year! :) *~*~*
FIRESIDE
The fireside was really good. It was a tri-stake fireside, so the chapel was packed full with twitterpated and flirty teens. Lol. I was impressed how quiet they all were when the speakers talked. The theme was music today and they encouraged the youth (They "triple-dog-dared" them) to go and delete any song on their iPod which doesn't allow the Spirit to reside with them. Then we watched a video that the church came out with this year geared toward the youth and the youth's motto this year, found in Joshua, to "be strong and of a good courage". It was a great fireside, and they outdid themselves by serving some heavenly homemade peanut butter brownies and homemade chocolate syrup. :)

Just a lot of odds and ends to do today. Fill out some applications, turn them in, start working on Koby's Yoshi hats for his bday, clean, exersise, etc.

I got to watch that video for the youth too. It was really good. I really liked the song in all the different languages. It was very well done. And a great theme.
I loved that part, too! I love how well they spliced it all together. :)
