Scout Camp, GNO

Friday night Benji attended Scout Camp with the boy scouts. They went up around Marysvale.
Benji isn't a picture taker, but I begged him to take some pics, so enjoy!
Getting the tents set up
The boys having fun in the snow while the leaders hurried to pitch tents
Our good friend, Cade, being his usual happy self
Tim Dennis (my doctor) & Tim Smith (in the bishopric and another of our friends)
Tim & his son, Max, an 8th grader
Our friends' son, Josiah (overalls) and friend in front of their tent
You can tell Jordyn's camera was getting cold- it started taking pics in weird colors. Lol. This is Tim & Tim again, talking
A bunch of the older boyscouts- the 3 boys on the left I don't recognize, but the guy on the right is Garrett, a 9th grader. The older boys brought fireworks, and set them off outside, and a few in their TENT! Yeah. Not very smart that time.
Sometime during the night, Benji went out to take these pics- they got DUMPED on! Over a FOOT of snow! Needless to say, they found themselves stranded, unable to get themselves out, so they ended up calling a Bobcat Tractor to come and dig them out.
Sometime early in the morning- Cade & another of our friends, Danny Yardley (whose house Benji is currently remodeling)
Our friend Tim Smith, standing next to his truck to show how much snow they got!
Ever so sly, Benji asked Garrett to stand next to the pickup to show how much snow fell.
One of their warm tents!
Bacon for Breakfast!
Our friend Cade is an awesome cook
Trying to dig themselves out while they waited to be rescued
A pic from inside the tent- I've never seen this before- I'm sure they were warm enough!
The road back out, after it had been "plowed"
Luckily Cade had brought a lot of extra gear, including an extra coat and snowsuit that he lent to Benji so he wouldn't FREEZE! I think he looks sexy. ;)
Benji showing off his new patch he earned for camping in the snow:
He had fun, but is glad they only had to camp ONE night in that weather!

Saturday
After the guys got back from Scout Camp, my friend Kim Harland (my BFF here) picked up me and a few other girls and we headed to Cedar! We were worried for a bit because the weather was rotten and our power went out about a hundred times, but when we decided to go the weather was tolorable. The ride there went fast because of the usual female gab sessions and we decided to catch a matinee. We went to see "Dear John" and loved it! Not quite the ending we were expecting, but a total bawl-fest anyway. Lol. After the movie we asked an older guy to take our picture, and felt horrible guilty afterward for picking HIM of all people, because we realized when we handed him the camera that 3 of his fingers were stubbed. Maybe from war or something- he had an army jacket on...

L-R: Ann Hatch, Candice Whitting, Kim Harland, Me
after our uncontrollable giggle fest (not at the GUY, he was very nice...but at the irony of it all) we decided on Applebee's to eat dinner. We had a wonderful time and I got the server to sing "Happy Birthday" to Ann and embarrass her, since Ann's 35th birthday was the next day. :)
We had an awesome, wonderful time and talked about EVERYTHING under the sun. When we left for home, the snowstorm was pretty bad, so we said a prayer and took the journey home a little slower. Kim did AWESOME in the snow, and even though we couldn't see more than a car's length ahead of us because of the fog and snow, we got home safe and sound, and already planning on next month's GNO. :)
