COOKIES!
Ever since my friend Jenn blogged about her kids making these "playdoh" cookies, I've wanted to try it myself. I found a wonderful recipe for them, and went for it. The only thing I will do differently next time is CHILL the dough BEFORE rolling them out! We forgot to, and it made for mushy/sticky dough. Other than that, it was a lot of fun, and the kids had a blast!
ACCIDENT
Yesterday afternoon Benji called me to tell me he had just hit a deer with his truck. He was just heading into Bear Valley Junction, a mountain valley pass to get to Panguitch, when a stupid suicidal deer just pounced RIGHT in front of him. He hit the brakes but it was useless. He smashed the deer and killed it. (He feels SO bad about it!) It smashed in the front fender, busted the headlight, and ruined the radiator. His car wouldn't drive. We called all the necessary people, and poor guy had to wait out there in the cold for the tow truck. A bunch of people stopped to see if he needed help, and apparently one of them called an Iron County (Cedar City) Highway Patrol, because he showed up later and wrote the whole incident up for Benji. Thankfully, we are insured. Lol. About 2 hours later, he was home. His beat-up truck is still on the tow truck down the street. We'll be setting up a time for our insurance to send a guy out to look it over, then we can get started putting it back together. We have a deductible of $500, and hopefully they'll fix the truck knowing that we can pay it when we get our taxes back in a month. Who knows. But for now, it really puts a damper on his business. He'll have to use the "family" vehicle (Tahoe) while I drive the Caddi.  We are just SOOO very thankful that Benji was not hurt in this accident. The airbags didn't even go off! Something's fishy, but I do also know that the Lord was watching over him. That's the power of prayer, baby!

HIGH SCHOOL PLAY
In other news: Jordyn is trying out this week for a part in the upcooming High School play, The Sound of Music. Poor sheltered kid hasn't even ever seen the movie, so she didn't know anything about it. She said there are a TON of girls trying out for the same parts, so we don't know if she'll even GET a part, but we're crossing our fingers! She gets to try out each day after school for different parts in the play, and they also need helpers behind the scenes, so anything to start her out in theater would be fun. :) Last night We all watched the Sound of Music and the girls loved it! At least now Jordyn knows the story line. :)
TODAY
Just feeling "blah" in general because of my lovely PMS. It should start ANY DAY NOW, but the lazy, grumpy, grouchy feelings are here so it's just .... "blah". I was supposed to work on Koby's Yoshi hats, but the posterboard is locked in Benji's truck for now. I have a lot to start working on, including reviews for CHIP, Brittany's Valentine's Day party for her class, helping the kids make their "100's Day" posters, Jordyn with her Character Sketch due in TWO weeks (they JUST got informed, and they haven't read any books yet!), need to plan Koby's baptism, birthday party, etc... SO much stuff to do, and all I feel like doing today is staying in bed! Lol. Hope your Tuesday is better than mine. :)

poor benji- I've never hit a deer, but I've heard it can really shake you up.

It did. I kept telling him that it could've been so much worse, and that we were blessed HE wasn't hurt. He just kept saying how horrible he felt for the poor deer!
