Last night the YW/YM had a combined activity. We used to call it "Mutual", lol. They got together and participated in "Youth Olympic Games". Once again, I told them to take the camera. :)

They played "Broom Hockey"

Jordyn took a few of Benji as he watched the goofy teenagers

Then they played some sort of "Bobsled" race using dolleys and trash can wheelies... here's Jordyn being pushed off by the boys

...and apparently they tried dragging/pulling as well! Lol.

They both said it was fun, and Jordyn came home with a "medal" (forgot to take pic!), which consisted of a mason jar lid with curling ribbon through it. Lol.

When my dad was growing up, his mom invented "Spring Garden Pie", a pie crust stuffed with all the leftovers from dinner during the week. I can't imagine it being that bad, my grandma is a wonderful cook! However, the past few years my dad has made up a really cute song that talks all about my grandma's "Spring Garden Pie" and how they would sweat bullets everytime she mentioned they were having "pie" for dinner. Lol!
Anyway, I thought it would be a cute way to post the dinners that Benji and I sometimes come up with all by our little creative selves. Lol! So this SGP segment is labeled, "Ramen Goolash". The kids absolutely LOVE it! The other night when I was out of town, Benji made ramen for the kids for dinner. He decided to add a bunch of things to it like spam (we LOVE spam around here!), corn, green beans, and hot dogs. Add a little shoyu and you're good to go! The kids loved it so much, they even asked to eat it COLD for lunch the other day. So, we decided to remember this recipe for the future. Lol.

And just for fun- a picture of our snobby cat, "Jingles", peeking out of the front living room window to stare at the traffic, or... deer if he was lucky. ;)
