Ryan had a fun time at his Valentine's Party!

He received a cute heart doilie from his "girlfriend", Kambree ;) Ryan is always telling me how he loves Kambree and how he's going to marry her. :)

Here's Brittany and her friend, Jordan listening to the rules

Brittany cheering her team on
The GIRLS win!
Next was a Heart Relay Race, also boys against girls:
And the GIRLS win again! :)
Then it was onto my craft, "Candy Necklaces"

All of us moms about gagged when a couple of the boys decided they'd have more room on the FLOOR! Ick. Lol.

The girls were impressed by Brittany's method- braiding! Lol.

Happy Valentine's Day, Mr. Norris!
After the party, we drove over to the Middle School to pick Jordyn up. While we were waiting, 3 deer just happened to "bounce" RIGHT next to our Tahoe and down the road. I happened to be looking at pics on my camera, so I was able to catch a picture of the deer. I will never get tired of seeing deer in this town! :)
I took 5 Devil's Food cake mixes and made 160+ "Oreo" cookies for my Sunday School class. We have around 20 kids, and we gave each one 3 cookies.
They each read their poems, and found out what mom and dad gave them. The boys each got a box of chocolates and a pair of sweatpants (much needed in this house!), and the girls each got a box of chocolates and a small bottle of perfume.

While Benji was still snoozing (ahem), I decided to make some "Love Cakes". ;)

Here's some of the Valentine's notes the kids made for us! Anyone who knows me KNOWS that I am a SUCKER for home-made things!! I am a super-sentimental sap, and LOVE everything the kids draw/write for me. :)
Benji actually got me a little something this year (surprise!)... a bunch of blocks that spell "I Love You". Cute. :) I told him it was just enough blocks to repaint and spell our last name, and he agreed. Lol. Thanks, Benji. :)

As we all know, as you get older, the holiday festivities are celebrated less and less. Jordyn did hand out Valentine photos, which all the kids LOVED and begged for, lol. The 7th/8th graders also had a Valentine's Dance! It was during school, and the kids had the option of going to the dance, or playing the Wii in another room. Most kids were at the dance, as was Jordyn. She was so excited!! This was her first "real" dance, where the boys asked the girls to dance. She was bummed because the guy she adores is in 9th grade and so wasn't going to be at the dance. However, Jordyn ended up dancing with a lot of boys, including one that she REALLY likes in the 8th grade. He asked HER to dance, and she was on cloud 9! Other boys asked her to dance as well, so needless to say, her Valentine's Day Celebrations left her feeling super happy. :)

Happy Valentine's Day!
The kids are so cute. They all stayed upstairs until we woke up, so they could all go down and see what they got for Valentine's Day. :)

Grandma Veater also brought over some cute valentines for the kids, which included a crisp dollar bill for each one. We then went to her house and gave her the Valentine Photos of the kids.
Later that evening we had a "candlelight" dinner. I just made some food that I KNEW the kids would actually eat- hot dogs, cheetos, grapes, and strawberry shakes. We stuck some tealight candles inside of some glasses and had a fun dinner! And yes, I forgot to take pics! :p
MONDAY
Today is "President's Day" so the kids have a break from school. Benji is ecstatic to be working this week, and has a VERY busy schedule as well. I'm not feeling well, so I'm just going to have a read-a-thon today, and hopefully the kids don't fight TOO much. ;)
P.S. I lost another 2 lbs! I'm down 5 lbs total so far. I know it took a long time, but at least I've lost and not gained! Lol. :) :) :)
